School Timing
Shanti Niketan follows the calendar issued by the Department of Education, Govt, of Rajasthan. At present the timing are as follows: (Subject to change)

Date Time

1 April-31st October
1 November- 31st March I-Shift (7:00am to 12:15pm)
II-Shift (12:15am to 05:30pm)

Session:- So far Shanti Niketan has been observing the academic calendar from 1st July to 15th May but from 2010 the new session will start from 1st May to 30th April.
Morning Assembly:
Our morning assembly programme lasts for 20 minutes in both the shifts and is unique one in many respects. With the beating of the drum, all the students and teachers assemble for the morning prayer. After the prayers, National Songs, reading out of Hindi & English News, thought for the day and Celebrating Birthday of the students, are the regular features of prayer programme.
Prayers

All students & teachers assemble every morning for prayers with musical instruments. All the students recite different prayers on different days. Birthday of the student is celebrated, Important News are read in Hindi & English, Good thought are said by students or teachers in the prayer. After prayers ten minutes are dedicated to P.T. exercises or Yoga.
Examination & Tests

At present Examination and Tests are based on the pattern of the Department of Secondary Education, Govt, of Rajasthan which has two tests, two home work assignments, Half Yearly and Annual Examinations. Very soon, like the Board's Examination, we are going to have grading system.
School Uniform

There is a prescribed dress for both boys and girls. All students must come in school uniform daily, without which they will not be allowed to attend the classes.
Rules & Regulations
Expectation from our students: Students should -
- Reach the school well in time and regularly. Late comers will be penalized and/or punished. Leave of absence may be noted in the student's diary. If a students is absent for ten days continuously, his name will be struck off from the rolls without any notice.
- Wear the prescribed complete uniform of the school everyday during the school hours
- Complete their home work assigned by the teachers regularly and systematically.
- Bring the copies, books and school diary according to the time table.
- Not bring with them costly articles and money. School will not be responsible for any loss of them. The use of mobile in school is strictly prohibited.
- Not make a noise or shout when the tuitional work is going on. They should maintain the perfect discipline in the class.
- Not damage or break any school property. Loss if any will have to be made good by them.
